Alexandria Christian Academy struts their best on pageant catwalk

Date:

Saturday evening, Alexandria Christian Academy hosted their first Mr and Miss Alexandria pageant in the school hall. Contestants competed in four different age groups and had to put their best foot forward to impress the panel of judges, who included the current “Mr PE” and renowned modeling choreographer, Liezel Botha in their winter and formal wear.

Asher Bam, a Alexandria local, performed and entertained with her beautiful singing and guitar skills during the break.

It was the first event of its kind hosted and organised by the school. Annetjie O’Shea who thought of the idea said in the beginning of the year, the school administration suggested activities that would promote the school and uplift the chidren, and she took the challenge seriously. “I prayed so much for the school, asking what I could do to assist. I was still busy praying about it and then God gave me the answer,” she said.
